Seating: We are planning to have the athletes sit in the athlete bleachers, but pack a them a folding chari just in case we need to set up chair along the side of the pool. Parents should plan to sit in the spectator area along the side of the pool.Seating for 1000 people is available with ample parking areas within 100 yards of the facility. Smoking is not permitted inside the building. Absolutely no glass bottles will be allowed on the pool deck. Only meet volunteers, USA Swimming-registered athletes, and current USA Swimming-registered officials and coaches may be on deck.
Notes: I have spoken with the swimmers about this, but we are going to have a technology-free pool deck for our team this weekend. Athletes will keep their phones in their bag (or with a parent) during the competition sessions to help them stay more engaged with the meet.
Swimmers should have socks and sneakers on their feet between races along with warm clothes. The shoes will help keep their body heat from dissipating on the cool, wet pool deck along with helping to keep their legs rested.
